ADSMCP does not ask you to paste an ad-account password into a chat. Platform access is an OAuth grant started from Connections. The grant is stored for your tenant. The AI client calls ADSMCP tools. It does not call graph.facebook.com, googleads.googleapis.com, business-api.tiktok.com, LinkedIn Marketing API hosts, or Amazon Ads API hosts itself.

Client access

  • Hosted OAuth or a bearer token from API Keys. See Authentication.
  • Production rejects a missing or unknown token.
  • Static shared tokens are a development fallback. They are ignored when NODE_ENV is production.
  • Remove a token from the dashboard when a person or a client should lose access.

Spend

Read tools can run after the client and the ad account are both authorized. Budget changes, campaign enables, bid updates, catalog ads, lead forms, and dynamic creative writes wait in Approvals. New campaigns are created paused. A failed write is not retried until you approve a corrected attempt. Execution checks that the payload still matches the approved payload.

Quota

Hosted tool calls count against the plan on Pricing. If the quota service cannot answer, spend-affecting writes stop. They do not run anyway. get_usage_status shows the current row.

Your database

A self-hosted deployment keeps the application database, OAuth grants, and audit rows on infrastructure you operate. The same approval rules still apply. Hosted plans meter calls. Self-hosting does not turn those rules off.

What to send support

Email [email protected] with the time, the tool name, and the error code. Do not include the bearer token, the platform refresh token, or a full customer list.
