Performance Max uses the Google Ads connection. See Google Ads.

Order

  1. get_connections_status and get_google_ads_accounts.
  2. get_google_search_theme_ideas for seed terms. This read does not create an asset group.
  3. validate_google_pmax_asset_group checks the final URL, headlines, long headlines, descriptions, marketing images, square images, logos, and business name.
  4. The dashboard PMax validation playbook stops at that validation.
  5. create_google_pmax_campaign is the paused create. A direct call on this server returns created_paused. Set execution_mode to approval_required to stage it in Approvals instead.
  6. create_google_pmax_asset_group adds one asset group to a campaign that already exists. Required arguments are account_id, campaign_id, name, final_urls, and assets. Each asset needs asset_resource_name and field_type. The adapter sets that asset group to PAUSED. Stage it with execution_mode: "approval_required", or run it from an approved action. A plain call is not the local campaign-create branch.
  7. If brand guidelines are on, attach the logo and business name with add_google_pmax_campaign_logo at campaign level. execution_mode: "approval_required" stages that call too.
  8. enable_google_campaign is a separate approved action. The creates above do not turn the campaign on.
