# Google Demand Gen

> Create a paused Google Demand Gen campaign shell on this server.

Demand Gen uses the Google Ads connection. See [Google Ads](/ad-platforms/google-ads).

## Order

1. `get_connections_status` and `get_google_ads_accounts`.
2. `validate_google_youtube_demand_gen_draft` checks the draft. It does not create the campaign.
3. `create_google_demand_gen_campaign` creates a paused shell. Required arguments are `account_id`, `name`, and a positive `budget_micros`.
4. Optional arguments are `target_cpa_micros`, `final_urls`, `ad_group`, `demand_gen_ad`, `validate_only`, and `login_customer_id`.

The campaign status on that create is `PAUSED`. The channel type is `DEMAND_GEN`. A direct call on this server returns `created_paused`. Set `execution_mode` to `approval_required` to stage the create in [Approvals](/approvals) instead of calling Google on that request.

If you pass `demand_gen_ad`, the adapter requires `headlines`, `descriptions`, and `marketing_images`. If you pass `ad_group`, that ad group is also created `PAUSED`. `validate_only: true` is sent as validate-only and is not a live create.

`enable_google_campaign` is a separate approved action. This create does not turn the campaign on.
